boycott nandos

Ok, so I don't watch TV or eat fast food. Sorry if this is old news. But there is nothing funny about this ad riddled with stereotypes.

Take one blonde.

Create a new product with two slices of chicken.

Add one advertising wonderkid.

And this is what you get....

Dumb blonde, big tits, sexist crap.

Come on this is 2009, you can do better than that.

we really have to take a hard look at ourselves regarding
Would we be attracted to the product if the ads comprised Truly Normal people?

When it comes to food, it's best to boycott all advertised food, possibly excepting Bakers Delight bread and Subway salad rolls.

Breathtaking. And I don't mean that in a good way.

Breathtaking in a "oh my tits are so big I couldn't see my chips" kinda way!

Yes maybe this isn’t a great ad, but Boycotting? really these are just innocent franchisees that are embarrassed by the head office marketing team who obviously is doing a very bad job. I love eating Nando's.

Anon, the concept of "innocent franchisees" is rather interesting. Wondering if you are in someway connected to one of the innocents?

But surely franchisees loosing business because of head office sexism will create greater leverage for change than just consumers alone walking away.

Personally, there is nothing I can eat at Nando's (or rather would want to). Oh and their nutrition guide has lots of trickery like giving a kj count based on salads with no dressing etc.

Innocent? My arse!

Maybe their marketing side of the business is bad but nandos chicken is so good. I don't care what sort of advertisements they do, I can easily name much more horrifying commercials other companies have done. spread the love
honestly i find the whole boycotting a bit childish. let’s focus on more important issues like politics.
