knitting in unexpected places

Winter is Hobart has many unexpected pleasures, if you are dressed warmly enough to enjoy them.

Glad to see someone has been looking after Louis and his faithful husky Joe.

You've got to love radical crafters in public places!

He looks all fired up to join the cast of 'Fame!' now. Or 'Flashdance' perhaps..?

Looks like you had a grand time in Hobart.

ooh I loved Hobart.
Mures.
the BIG liners, Right There in ya face,
the Antarctic vibe,
the icebreakers.

Re the footwarmers: a few years back, a group called 'Rat Art, knitted hats and scarves for the MANY statues in the main street median of BallaRAT.
God there was a hue and cry.

I thought they looked funny and fab, but the uptight gang said it was disrespecful to desecrate King George V and Queen Vic and the unknown soldier etc etc.

See, it's not just Henson, Juan Davila and Robertson-Swann, Australia consistently runs art outta town.
